How it works

How it works, from the factory to your port

  1. Pick the car and the trim from the list. Each price shows the date of its quote. Each time we update the site, quotes close to ninety days old come off and the car says "on request".

  2. We confirm the car, the colour and the add-ons with the exporter and send one quote. The car, the work in China and the sea freight each sit on a line of their own. A price at the factory gate does not include transport to the export port.

  3. You pay against the pro-forma invoice, on the terms written in it.

  4. The car goes from the factory to our installation partner near the export port. Film and colour go on there; the technicians set up the electronics; the work is photographed and filmed for you.

  5. A fully electric car in a container travels as dangerous goods; for a range-extender car it depends on the shipping line. Time at sea depends on the line and the route. To Beirut, that is about a month on the faster line and nearer two on the slower one, and the booking gives the dates.

  6. Customs at your port go through a clearing agent, under your country's rules. In Lebanon, a car that customs accepts as new and fully electric pays no customs duty under the 2026 budget law; VAT and the import fee still apply.

  7. You collect the car at your port, with the work done in China as quoted. Port and clearing charges are not in our quote; they are paid at your port.

In Lebanon: no customs duty on a new electric car

Under Lebanon's 2026 budget law, a new electric car pays no customs duty and no excise, and the first registration fee is cut. VAT and the import fee still apply. This is for new cars. Whether a car first registered in China counts as new is a customs ruling we confirm with the clearing agent before you commit.

Lebanon Budget Law 2026, as checked in October 2026. Rules change; we confirm the current ones with the clearing agent for each car.
